Impact Health Vietnam was founded in the Fall of 2012 as a (501)(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minnesota, USA. Our original vision and goals were solely focused on bringing education and training to Vietnamese doctors and medical professionals in the field of interventional cardiology and cardiac surgeries. Our yearly medical missions recruit experts in this field throughout the United States and our in-country travel destinations cover hospitals in the Mekong Delta region.

Since 2014, in response to the needs of education and training for pathologists and pediatric oncologists, IHVN has added another team of experts in hematopathology and Clinical Lab Sciences. We have now worked with pathology labs and hematology departments at many major cancer centers as well as at multi-specialty hospitals in the North and South of Vietnam.

In late 2019, we offered our first primary care mission to serve the needs of elderly patients in the city of Rach Gia City in Kien Giang province, in conjunction with our yearly cardiac and pathology missions.

Since 2019 we have been offering online conferences and diagnosis consultations in the field of hematopathology to many Vietnamese pathologists. In 2020 we added weekly consultations via Zoom conferences platform.

Fortunately, IHVN has received very positive feedback from participants of our online training initiatives. Throughout the pandemic, our pathologists continue to support their Vietnamese counterparts by offering on demand cases consultation through Zoom sessions. We hope to resume our destination mission travel again in late 2022.
